Botswana
is the jewel in Africa’s crown.
The
republic
of Botswana is situated in Southern
Africa,
nestled between Namibia,
Zambia, Zimbabwe andSouth
Africa.
It
contains the worlds largest oasis, the
OkavangoDelta,
which is a bird watchers paradise (over 600 species
recorded) as well as prolific wildlife (160 mammal
species). |

Botswana's contrasting landscapes stretch from
the endless Kalahari sands, where desert adapted animals are to
be found, to the banks of the mighty Chobe river, whose floodplain
supports vast numbers of birds and wildlife.
In between is a labyrinth of watery channels, mopane woodlands
and the Linyanti Swamps in The Selinda. Cobalt blue skies reign supreme from April to
November.
