15 Day / 14 Night Kruger to Falls Adventure

DAY 1: JOHANNESBURG
Clients are collected at ORT International Airport and transferred to the starting hotel. The day is free and the tour starts with a pre departure meeting at 18h00 in the reception of the hotel.  Overnight at The Safari Club or similar. (Accommodated. Dinner own account).

DAY 2: JOHANNESBURG – MPUMALANGA (BLYDE RIVER)
Departing Johannesburg after breakfast we proceed to the Lowveld to our accommodation overlooking the Sabie river. The afternoon can be spent relaxed in the extensive gardens in a hammock by a pool or watching hippos, crocodiles and other wildlife congregate at the river. Immerse yourself in a feast of culture with a night of Shangaan dance and an unforgettable African Banquet. Overnight at Hippo hollow country estate or similar. (Accommodated – B. Dinner own account).

DAY 3/ 4: GREATER KRUGER NATIONAL PARK – TIMBAVATI PRIVATE RESERVE
The morning is spent viewing the spectacular Blyde River Canyon, Gods Window viewpoint and Bourkes Luck Potholes, en-route to the famous Timbavati Private Game Reserve situated in the Greater Kruger National Park. Shindzela tented safari camp provides guests with a true safari experience in a private game reserve – an ideal way to make the most of your Kruger safari holiday. Day 4 we enjoy a morning game drive and afternoon bush walk in search of the many animals inhabiting the reserve. Overnight Shindzela Tented Camp or similar. (Accommodated – B & D. Lunch on Day 4 included).

DAY 5/ 6: LIMPOPO PROVINCE via Kruger National Park
Up at sunrise we exit Timbavati and enter the Kruger National Park. A full day game drive is enjoyed as we traverse north, exiting the park through the Pafuri gate to our lodge in the Limpopo Province where we experience a taste of the local Venda culture. Day 6 we depart after breakfast for a full day cultural tour which includes a visit to a local village, school, clinic and a traditional lunch. Dinner is enjoyed in Venda style in the local village. Overnight Awelani Camp (or similar). (Accommodated – B & D. Lunch on Day 6 included)

DAY 7/ 8: MATOPOS NATIONAL PARK
An early departure takes us 2 hour to Beit Bridge border post where we cross into Zimbabwe. Entering Zimbabwe we travel to our lodge located on the edge of the World Heritage site – Matopos National Park. The following day is spent on a historic trek to Rhodes grave and walks to renowned caves and Bushman paintings. Our lodge is set within the large granite boulders of the Matopos. Overnight Camp Amalinda or similar. (Accommodated – B & D)

DAY 9/ 10: HWANGE NATIONAL PARK
Travelling through Zimbabwe we arrive early afternoon to Hwange National Park. We enjoy a late afternoon open 4×4 vehicle game drive in the private concession bordering Hwange National Park. The following morning we enjoy another game drive in the concession and in the afternoon we visit a Wild Dog Conservation project nearby. Overnight Ivory Lodge or similar. (Accommodated – B & D)

DAY 11/ 12: VICTORIA FALLS “MOSI-OA-TUNYA” – THE SMOKE THAT THUNDERS
We arrive midday to Victoria Falls – without doubt one of the greatest and most spectacular sights in Africa (entrance own account). The days are free to browse the local markets and to experience the many optional activities on offer in the adrenalin capital of Africa including walks with lions, helicopter flights over the Falls, rhino walks, elephant back safaris, sunset boat cruise etc (own expense). Overnight A’Zambezi River Lodge (or similar accommodation). (Accommodated – B. Dinners own account)

DAY 13/ 14: CHOBE RIVER – KASANE
Crossing into Botswana we travel to Kasane and our lodge situated on the banks of the Chobe River. Chobe is famous for its beautiful scenery, magnificent sunsets and abundance of wildlife and birdlife. The following day is spent on an early morning Game drive in Chobe National Park and a sunset Game viewing boat cruise on the Chobe River. Overnight Chobe Safari Lodge or similar. (Accommodated – B & D)

DAY 15: KASANE
Tour ends after breakfast with a transfer to Kasane Airport. (B)

GROUP SIZE: 4-16 clients.
FOOD & DRINKS: 14 breakfasts, 10 dinners. Lunches own account except where specified.
VEHICLES: 4×4 Toyota land cruiser or similar with a music system and an off-road trailer.
