10 Day / 9 Night Okavango & Wildlife Adventure Safari

DAY 1/ 2: VICTORIA FALLS “MOSI-OA-TUNYA” – THE SMOKE THAT THUNDERS
We meet at 15h00 on day 1 for a pre departure meeting. Days are free to view Victoria Falls – without doubt one of the greatest and most spectacular sights in Africa (entrance own account); to browse the local markets and to experience the many optional activities on offer in the adrenalin capital of Africa including white water rafting, bungi jumping, microlighting/ airplane or helicopter flights over the Falls, rhino walks, elephant back safaris (own expense). Overnight A’Zambezi River Lodge or similar. (B)

DAY 3/ 4: HWANGE NATIONAL PARK
Travelling through Zimbabwe we arrive around midday to Hwange National Park. We enjoy a late afternoon game drive in open 4×4 vehicles in search of the many wild animals inhabiting the area. The following morning we visit a Wild Dog Conservancy and also a local school giving us the opportunity of interacting with the local population. The afternoon we enjoy another game drive. Overnight Ivory Lodge or similar. (B & D)

DAY 5: MAKGADIKGADI PANS
Entering Botswana we travel to our lodge located on the edge of the vast Makgadikgadi Pans. Late afternoon we enter the Park and drive to the edge of the Pans where we enjoy a magnificent sunset (weather dependant). Overnight Nata Lodge or similar. (B & D)

DAY 6 / 7: OKAVANGO DELTA
We arrive in Maun midday and fly by light aircraft into the Okavango delta. This 20 minute scenic flight gives an amazing aerial view of the Delta. The days are spent with your guide exploring the wonders of the Okavango delta by mokoro, boat and on foot. Early morning and late afternoon excursions take advantage of the natural beauty on offer. Relax in the evenings listening to the many sounds of the African bush. Our camp is situated in the heart of this untouched and pristine wilderness area. Overnight at Moremi Crossing or similar. DAY 8/ 9: CHOBE RIVER – KASANE
We depart the delta with a 1½-hour scenic flight to Kasane to our lodge situated on the banks of the Chobe River. Chobe is famous for its beautiful scenery, magnificent sunsets and abundance of wildlife and birdlife. The following day is spent on an early morning Game drive in Chobe National Park and a sunset Game viewing boat cruise on the Chobe River. Overnight Chobe Safari Lodge or similar. (B & D)

DAY 10: VICTORIA FALLS
After breakfast we depart Botswana and re-enter Zimbabwe for onward flight home. (B)

GROUP SIZE: 4 – 16 clients
ACCOMMODATION: All accommodation is chosen for its unique location and scenic beauty. All offer en-suite facilities and full bedding. Accommodation ranges hotels / lodges / tented camps which are all ensuite. All are a very comfortable three – four star grading.
MEALS: 9 Breakfasts, 7 Dinners….Lunches own account
VEHICLES: The Okavango Adventure is operated in an airconditioned Toyota Mini-bus.
For groups of more than ten, the overland style vehicle will be used.
STAFF: One dedicated, professional tour leader leads the Accommodated Tours. He is selected for his experience of the African bush, thus ensuring your travel experience is enjoyable and successful. The guides are in the full time employ of the company. Detailed information on the history of the area, fauna and flora is given to participants during the safari. The safaris are conducted in English.
